Drums do more than teach beats. They build timing, coordination, listening, control, energy, and the confidence to hold a song together.
Drums build a strong sense of timing, beat, and tempo. Students who learn drums develop rhythm skills that support every style of music.
Drumming uses both hands, both feet, and the mind together. It helps students improve concentration, body coordination, and multitasking ability.
The drummer holds the band together. By learning drums, students understand teamwork, listening, timing, and how to support other musicians.
Drums allow students to express energy, emotion, and confidence through sound. From soft beats to powerful grooves, drumming is exciting and engaging.
With practice pads, electronic kits, and structured exercises, students can build skills at home while developing discipline, consistency, and control.
Beginners can start playing basic beats early, which makes progress feel exciting from day one. This helps students stay motivated and confident.
From first-time learners discovering rhythm to serious students preparing for stage, exams, recording, and live band performance — each level gets a curriculum designed specifically for the student’s current skill, pace, and musical goals.
Year 1 builds the student’s core drumming foundation. Students begin with posture, stick grip, basic coordination, simple beats, and rhythm reading, then gradually move into grooves, fills, timing, and complete songs.
Parts of the drum kit, correct posture, stick grip, basic rhythm, and first simple beat.
Basic rock beats, steady counting, simple coordination, and 2–3 easy songs.
Stronger timing, simple fills, rhythm notation, and more song repertoire.
4–5 songs across styles, better coordination, confident timing, and first performance.
Year 2 helps students move beyond basic beats. They begin reading drum notation more fluently, developing rudiments, playing different styles, improving coordination, and performing complete songs with stronger groove, control, and confidence.
Drum notation, rhythm reading, single strokes, double strokes, and paradiddle basics.
Hand-foot independence, stronger bass drum control, hi-hat variation, and groove building.
Rock, pop, funk, and blues grooves, stronger fills, syncopation, and genre-based songs.
Playing with guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, and vocalists, stage confidence, and performance-ready songs.
Year 3 is for students who are ready to become confident drum performers. The focus shifts to advanced technique, stronger independence, stylistic playing, improvisation, expressive fills, ensemble work, and preparation for global exams or stage performances.
Advanced rudiments, clean sticking, speed building, control, dynamics, and tone.
Syncopated grooves, ghost notes, fills, improvisation, and stylistic expression.
Advanced songs, band arrangements, ensemble practice, and stage preparation.
Mock exams, sight-reading, aural practice, technical work, and annual recital performance.
Year 4 is designed for serious drum learners who are ready to move beyond structured lessons into artistry and professional-level playing. The focus is on personal groove style, live band work, studio discipline, advanced performance, recording basics, and higher-level exam or performance preparation.
High-level drum pieces, advanced technical work, groove control, and stylistic interpretation.
Rock, funk, pop, blues, fusion, and contemporary grooves, dynamics, phrasing, and personal drumming style.
Playing with click tracks, recording basics, arrangement awareness, and building a performance portfolio.
